15th AF SSI / "CAPRI SERIES"
An A2JACKETPATCHES original...
Exact reproductions of the common 15th AF SSI of the MTO...
The 12th and 15th Air Forces stationed in Italy had a few different unofficial combinations of insignia as well as the official like this 15th AF using the unofficial Roman numerals on a shield. Having a U.S. Flag was a big thing as well compared to the other theaters, quite frequently. The MTO personel would have R&R on the Isle of Capri where this type of patch was created and sold by local crafters. This not a modern artist rendition, but a true replica of what was worn, it's the best you'll find for any impression where accuracy is a must. Kudos to all of the fantastic artists out there but this is the reality of a very simple technique that should not be forgotten, again, simple. Not overdone, the authenticity in our patches is second to none...
We're taking a new approach to fill the gap in between modern commercial art and true reproduction...It matters...
