This 309th Fighter Squadron incised leather patch is made in the same style exclusive to the Isle of Capri. Please see the last photo of the original reference I used.
 
Servicemen on R&R would purchase these patches from the local artisans. We took the liberty of adjusting colors because most has flaked off which by the way, we plan to mimick soon on all of these MTO series we do, an authentic patina and age application...
 
Visually, this is an exact reproduction of a war time original, not a modern artist rendition, notice my reference in the last photo. This auction is for the reproduction in the first three photos and the last photo for reference only......
