Exact reproduction of an original hand painted patch by Fritz Gottlieb...
The original artwork was a Disney design by Hank Porter done on paper as a sketch but Fritz has elaborated a bit by fine tuning with color. It's just his best guess as to accuracy or whether or not the insignia was actually used but complete accuracy doesn'r seem inportant these days. However, It is a great way to comemorate this unit though.
Applied to fine lambskin, an extremely strong but flexible leather. 30 years of making patches, I have to say there is no better substrate that'll flex with the jacket material whether it be leather or cloth. This quality is so often overlooked but the feedback when one of my guys wears it on a jacket speaks for itself...
